With over 25 years of experience in fashion, April Uchitel is no stranger to the industry. As Chief Brand Officer of Spring, the convenient, stylish, and polished mobile app, this entrepreneurial spirit has helped curate the ultimate destination for everyone’s shopping needs. Read along to hear how this beauty enjoys spending a typical Sunday with family and her hopes and desires for her children, Luella and Sebastian.
Describe your typical Sunday. Where are you, what are you wearing, and who are you with?
Typically you will find us in Upstate NY where we've been weekending for 15 years —always with family, and almost always with friends. My husband is from Buenos Aries so we're always bbq ready. I’m in layers so I can fashionably transition from cocktails, to dinners, and chilly late night bonfires.
You’re the Chief Brand Officer at Spring —a breakthrough app that’s forever changed the way fashion lovers can shop. Do you ever shop at brick and mortar stores? Or do you stick wholly to the digital space?
Having curated Spring for over two years with the goal of disrupting the shopping status quo, Spring has absolutely changed the way I shop. I can buy hand poured candles and animal print sneakers, boyfriend jeans and body scrub all from my phone from over 1,000 brands from anywhere at anytime. All moms know there are never enough hours in the day, and any extra time we can get with our family is priceless.
What do you hope for your children and why?
I hope my children follow non-traditional paths. The world is full of amazing places to go and incredible things to see. I hope that they consistently seek adventure and unique personal experiences.
