The annual Armory Show is back! Running from March 6th to March 9th, this international modern art fair features the most important artwork of the 20th and 21st centuries. Plus DJs and live music will kick off the show at The Armory Party, making this an event you won’t want to miss.
The dynamic duo behind Wolves Within is opening their very own home store, Home of the Brave, this Thursday and we’ve already fallen in love with their curated selection of wares thus far–cactus printed pillows anyone? The converted factory space is filled with handmade items (many from Brooklyn artisans), which will make for fabulous gifts and add unique touches to your home. Head over to Greenpoint and check it out for yourself.
Next up on our must-try list is SF’s new North Beach-based eatery, The Square. With decor including a copper bar, botanical accents, and hanging lights, the setting is perfect for catching up with old friends. As for the menu, The Square puts creative touches on classics like baby back ribs with polenta, cucumber, and mint. Plus, they’ve put together a 65-bottle wine list, guaranteeing you won’t run short of options. The Square is open Wednesday-Sunday until 1 AM. Talk about a delicious midnight snack.
Illustrator, editor, blogger, photographer–Garance Doré holds many titles. And now she can add one more to her resume: stationary designer. Ever since we caught wind of her collaboration with Rifle Paper Co., we couldn’t wait to get our hands on it. The collaboration will include her beautiful fashion illustrations on not only stationary, but note pads, calendars, and iPhone cases as well. The Garance Doré x Rifle Paper Co. collection launched this past Sunday at Colette in Paris and will be available in stores worldwide within the next few weeks. Keep checking garancedore.fr to be the first to snag your own items from the collection.
Just because we aren’t in New Orleans for Mardi Gras doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate like we are. We rounded up the best spots in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco so you can get your party on wherever you may be. Soho’s The Dutch is serving up a three course Cajun and Creole style dinner including dishes like Fried Frog Legs and New Orleans Beignets with a side of live music to boot. For those of you in LA, head to Dominick’s or Little Dom’s for Jambalaya and Po Boy’s and we promise you’ll feel like you’re right in the Big Easy. Ladies of San Francisco, your best bet is Town Hall where there will be dancing, live music, BBQ shrimp, gumbo, jambalaya, boas and beads (costumes are encouraged). Happy Mardi Gras!

It’s no surprise that this month, Fashion Week (or “Fashion Month” as we like to call it) overtook every aspect of our social feeds. While we were at New York Fashion Week showing our own collection, we still love to follow the fashion flock on Twitter and Instagram to get news from the shows in London, Milan and Paris in real time. Here are some of our favorite snaps from the month, from pictures from our own Fall 2014 presentation (via @bergdorfs and @chrisellelim) to gorgeous shots of the scenic views at #MFW (via @afterdrk).
Make sure to follow our Insta friends at the handles listed above for more gorgeous inspiration and don’t forget to follow Joie on Instagram as well!
